In terms of the NCR’s guidelines the following fees (excl vat) are charged in respect of applicants with an individual gross income of more than R2 500-00 per month or a gross household income of more than R3 000-00 per month:
- An once off restructuring fee of the lesser of the first instalment of the debt rearrangement plan or R3 000-00
(R4 000-00 for a joint application).
- An aftercare fee of 5% calculated on the monthly instalment of the debt rearrangement plan, up to a maximum of
R300-00 for the first 24 months, after which a fee of 3% per month on the monthly instalment up to a maximum of
R300-00, for the remainder of the period.
The application fee for a consent order through the National Consumers Tribunal is R750-00 (excl vat). (The same order issued by a court will cost you between R2 500-00 and R3 500-00)
You need not to fork out any cash – the fees will be included in the debt-restructuring plan.
